Quinoa. It’s the grain equivalent to kale – a superfood that has surged in popularity. Do your body a favor and eat it at least once a week. It has a wonderfully nutty, earthy flavor. Eat it on it’s own, as a super side dish, or even a dessert!
So, What is Quinoa:
Believe it or not, quinoa is closely related to other superfoods like beets and spinach. It has more protein than brown rice and contains essential B vitamins (for energy!), iron and magnesium (for strength!). It is almost always hand-harvested in Peru, Bolivia, or Ecuador. It comes in different colors so you have options to play around with.
