#ThanksMichelleObama Hits Cafeterias Nationwide

Kids these days are no longer taking their complaints to the lunch lady. Instead, they are taking to social media– and the First Lady of the United States.

Michelle Obama has devoted much of her time since moving into the White House to providing kids a healthier lunch in public schools. Five years ago, schools started serving new health standards and just over a year ago, Mrs. Obama unveiled a list of dietary guidelines that were approved by the USDA. However, it’s not looking like the students are enjoying what they are being served.

We all know that school lunches aren’t the most appetizing. And to be honest, nor are they all that edible. But with this latest trend to post pictures of chicken patty sandwiches and cold tator tots to social media with a hashtag made to insult the president’s wife who is trying to lower the highest obesity rate in the world, it’s safe to say that kids still aren’t growing up. Take a sack lunch to school children.
