This Valentine’s Day, it will be totally acceptable to sit at home alone on the couch cuddled up next to a glass of milk and some limited edition red velvet Oreos.
From their inception in 1912, Oreos have become a shining beacon for cookies everywhere, a snack famous for having a million ways to eat it, and a staple dessert in any lucky kid’s lunchbox.
Over the years, Nabisco has developed and improved the Oreo recipe as well as released dozens of limited time flavor varieties. But while cool mint is fresh and pumpkin spice is trendy, red velvet is just a whole new level of deliciousness.
This latest variety will hit shelves in early February in commemoration of Valentine’s Day, and it will be available for six to eight weeks. The chocolate wafer will be dyed red, and the creme filling will be cream cheese flavored. As if you didn’t love Oreos enough already!
Between these incredible looking new cookies and the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie, who needs a significant other?
