I need all the luck I can get!
I grew up with a superstitious mother. Every New Year’s Eve she would change all the sheets in the house for a fresh start to a new year. Unfortunately for my palate, it wasn’t until I was older that I was introduced to foods that should be eaten on NYE and New Year’s Day. I was working in a little restaurant in Brooklyn where I learned about the Southern tradition of eating black eyed peas for the occasion – they are said to bring good fortune for the rest of the year. Hey, it can’t hurt! Plus they are quite delicious. Learn about other food that are supposed to bring you good fortune in 2016. I hope it’s a delicious year for you.
Get ready to gorge for prosperity on New Year’s Day!
