A former investment banker, Vivienne Hu left the financial world to follow her true passion, fashion design. After studying at Parsons The New School for Design in New York, she launched her fashion brand and opened her store in Soho.
Since her fashion week debut in 2012, the fierce and sexy New York woman has been the muse in her designs.
Her tenacity and ambition is an inspiration for anyone out there who wants to pursue their dreams.
Recognized for using clean cuts, Hu creates timeless pieces, and clothes that show femininity, elegance, and character.
The collection was very mixed, featuring light, flowy neutrals that characterize the lively, soft side of a woman and loud prints that define power and impact. In effect, Hu’s designs are feminine and edgy.
Her inspiration for this collection came from Jackson Pollock, the influential painter that created the most colorfully abstract expressionist movement ever.
Two favorites were the checkered pants with a very nice voluminous blouse, which delivers a unique attitude. The other was a white dress with tulle and flowers. The design was ethereal, yet edgy. A great mixture of traditional and contemporary.
Vivienne’s pieces are eclectic, modern and classy. She definitely knows what women want in their closets.
