Bonobos initiated their online business in 2007 with their signature line of men’s pants. But the company has moved forward since then, stitch-by-stitch, and nowadays they boast a full line of pants, suits, denim, shorts, swimwear and outwear for men. In 2011 they launched their e-commerce stores called Guideshops that deliver a personalized, one-on-one service for those wanting to shop for the brand in person. They even deliver your purchase to your front door, so walk out hands-free–no more holding bags!
Bonobos is considered to be the largest apparel brand ever built on the web in the United States. They provide men with better-fitting clothes and an easier way to shop!
This season, Fall 2014, Bonobos is introducing a new Men’s Suit Collection! It’s a collection of wool suits, tweed blazers and tuxedos that perfectly complement the crisp fall weather and autumn leaves. Are you men ready to look sharp during these breezy days?
They have also made their signature Italian wool Foundation suit even better with brand new fabrics and updated interior details, including a more ergonomic interior pocket, so grabbing that business card is as fast and smooth as your first impression. It’s all about the details guys!
A fine tailored wool suit is warm on its own, but you can always add a topcoat for those frigid days. Their suits come in Standard and Slim fits, and Short, Regular and Tall sizes, so you can find the perfect fit. No matter your size, you will find everything that you are looking for with great service.
Suit Styling & Fit Tips
“Fit is the most important detail for a suit. Marry that with classic color options and quality fabric, and you have a great looking, versatile suit for every occasion,” says Dwight Fenton, Bonobos VP of Design.
Fenton’s simple suit tips to find the right fit:
• Fit starts with the shoulders: The jacket should grab your shoulders snuggly but not be overly tight. If the shoulders fit, pretty much anything else can be adjusted.
• Length matters: To determine the appropriate length, you should be able to cup the bottom of the suit with your arms by your side.
• Show some shirt: A flexible but general rule of thumb is to have a quarter-inch of your shirt cuff showing. If you’re wearing a heavier cuff, like a French cuff, you may want to show a little more.
This men’s suit collection was inspired by the early British rock invasion style, before they were all glam rock stars. Mick Jagger before he went big played a major part in the inspiration, this was all when he was still a lad. Other bands in their early days played a major role as well such as the Kinks, early Who, and Screaming Lord Sutch.
I leave you with a gallery of their newest collection.
