This is the happiest day of my life!
The hipster beard trend is finally over. The stereotypical Brooklyn hipster of the last few years has moved on and grown up. Millennial men all over the country are shaving off their facial hair and becoming something called “yuccies,” which stands for Young Urban Creatives. How do they differ from hipsters? Vanity, style, and creativity are marks of a yuccie. They also have profitable jobs and endeavors, opposed to the stereotypical trust-fund hipster.
The phrase, coined by Mashable’s David Infante, is very observant and astute. The creative kids of generation Y are growing up and want to be taken seriously, so they are opting for more refined, professional look. I, for one, am elated because I get to see strong jaw lines and dimples again.
Women everywhere rejoice as the hipster beard is following out of fashion. The yuccies are bring back handsome faces we can see and also have creative jobs.
