Relax Hacks: Decompress on the Cheap!

It seems like everyone works too much these days. Work stress, family stress, lack of sleep – it takes a toll on your body. Take an hour a two at night once a week and pamper yourself. You don’t need to spend lots of money at a fancy spa to relax. Try these methods and we promise you’ll be ah-ing in no time.

1. Dry Brush

I swear by this. It leaves my skin feeling warm and toasty and is the best exfoliator. Get one for under $10 online or at your local drug store.

2. A warm bath

That’s right, get in the mood by lighting candles. Adding lavender bath goodies will provide relaxing aromatherapy.

3. Sounds machine? There’s an app for that

Download free sound apps that will play everything from white noise to nature sounds like birds or a babbling brook.

4. At home facial

Cleanse twice. Exfoliate. Put on a face mask and relax in a robe with some infused water and maybe some moistened tea bags on your eyes.

5. Foot soak

Use hot (but not scalding) water in a bucket or bowl. Add
essential oils or other goodies like coconut milk, honey, epsom salt. Soak for as long as your heart desires.
