Innocent or inciting?
As of this writing, Aretha Franklin stands as the record holder for female artist with the most Billboard Top 100 entries. After announcing her retirement recently, the O.G. diva leaves her record up for grabs. Enter the Minaj…
Nicki Minaj, whose career started popping off about a decade ago after signing to Cash Money Records, is giving Aretha a run for her money. Her recent feature on Major Lazor’s “Run Up,” which debuted at #66 on the Billboard chart, puts her at 71 Top 100 entries. Franklin, whose career spans almost sixty years, deserves R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for her record of 73.
Prior to “Run Up,” fellow fem-pop star Taylor Swift shared a tie for the Billboard feat with 70 Hot 100 entries all-time.
In a recent Instagram post, Nicki Minaj publicly ‘accepted’ her new position ahead of T-Swift on the all-time ladies’ list, calling out Swift directly. Many are wondering if the Cash Money star was being genuine or fake with her comment… Click below to see the post and decide for yourself.
Nicki Minaj just beat out Taylor Swift for Billboard Hot 100 songs by a female artist. So why is she dissing her on Instagram?
