Please think twice about taking the pill.
First available to the public 1960, the pill is an extremely popular form of birth control used by more than 100 million women worldwide and by almost 12 million women in the United States. This women rely on the pill to enjoy sex without getting pregnant. Everyone knows the pill has side effects, some good (like light periods, less cramps) and some horrendous.
Recently a woman was denied sterilization as contraception in England. Holly Brockwell, 30, was trying to prove to the government for four years that she doesn’t want and will never want children. Just taking the pill isn’t an option because of the horrendous side effects she experienced. She shouted her frustration and anger on Twitter which sparked other women to share their stories with the hashtag #MyPillStory. Read some of their experiences.
