While spanking isn’t usually considered child abuse, a slap on the toosh not only hurts but can also shame a child. My mom spanked us kids with a chopstick, which wasn’t fun and I personally do not recommend. While less and less parents choose NOT to slap their kids’ behinds, have you ever wondered what are the psychological effects on children who were spanked? I mean besides resentment, is it actually effective?
